About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team.
Garner's Engineering team tackles incredibly hard technical problems for a mission that truly matters.
Our systems analyze billions of medical records to rank healthcare providers across the country.

Lead technical strategy and decision-making on assigned domains
Use AI to build, optimize, and maintain software systems
Collaborate across disciplines to understand our domain and iterate on projects
Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents (we use Claude Code)

You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The ideal candidate has:

4+ years of software engineering experience
A generalist software engineering mindset ready to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques required for a fast paced startup environment
The ability to learn quickly and mentor others
Familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance

The target salary range for this position is $230,000 - $285,000.
Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
