About the role
- A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the clinical director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
- This includes, but is not limited to: applying electrodes and sensors, calibrations of equipment, ensuring quality data collection and diagnostic procedures.
Requirements
- Occasionally stand. must be able to access computer hardware and video equipment located 3-6 feet from ground level.
- must be able to move from control room to patient room quickly in cases of emergency.
- Bending of the body downward and forward is required to install patient monitoring sensors and to make various adjustments to equipment and sensors.
- Must be able to grasp and place equipment, rotate adjustment knobs and manipulate small objects.
Skills
- Frequent use of simple math, reading and writing skills (able to write reports and letters to doctors and/or patients).
