- Who You Are Mikisew Awasis Kisiwatsowin Society is seeking a Generalist Caseworker to provide a critical role in supporting children and families by assessing needs, providing services, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
- This position is based in Edmonton or Fort McMurray, AB.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized case plans that address the specific needs and goals of children and families.
- Make referrals to support services, community resources and appropriate services providers
- Maintain accurate and timely case files and documentation in accordance with agency policies and provincial legislation.
- Maintain professional boundaries and respect the confidentiality and privacy of families
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the agencies objectives.
- The organization delivers culturally grounded intervention and family support services rooted in Cree values and traditions.
- Working alongside families, Elders, and community partners, we focus on strengthening families and keeping children connected to their culture, community, and identity.
Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
- Willingness and ability to work after hours and/or weekends when required.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of children and families to determine needs, risks, and services required.
