Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with the design and development of new products and product enhancements.
- Create and modify 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and design documentation.
- Support product validation activities, including prototype assembly, testing, data collection, and documentation.
- Assist with engineering calculations, design evaluation, and technical investigations.
- Participate in engineering reviews and design discussions.
- Help maintain bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change documentation, and product records.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to support project objectives.
- Assist in identifying and implementing design improvements related to performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.

- Mechanical Engineer Intern Mueller in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a fall semester New Product Design Engineering Intern.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with engineering testing, laboratory work, prototype development, or data analysis.
- This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment, taking initiative, and contributing to meaningful engineering projects that have real-world impact.
