About the role

  • Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Resident Manager is responsible for assisting with the professional management, administration and leasing for an apartment community in Edmonton.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure proactive timely resolution of co-worker, resident, and contractor concerns.
  • Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Complete regular site inspections of including vacant apartments, building common areas to identify opportunities, and report any concerns or deficiencies promptly to the Senior Property Manager.
  • Prepare and deliver resident notices and communications.
  • Maintain an orderly office area, including proper filing of all hard and soft copy documentation and correspondence.
  • Centurion Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust ("REIT") owns more than 22,000 multi-family apartment units and student housing beds across 46 cities in Canada and the United States.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience independently managing a multi-family, residential apartment building is required
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve difficult issues in a timely manner
  • Experience with Yardi property management systems considered an asset.
  • initiate follow-up where payments are not made and initiate and attend to legal and collection as required.
  • Show and lease vacant rental units as required.

Compensation

  • In cooperation with insurance entities, assist with the completion of quarterly or annual risk assessments, incorporate into capital or operations planning and implement as required to mitigate risk.
