  • The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • This role ensures that production teams receive the correct materials on time while maintaining strict compliance with aerospace quality, safety, and traceability standards.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production lines in accordance with work orders and schedules
  • Support shipping operations, including packaging and preparing outbound shipments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read work orders, part numbers, and technical documentation
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • 1-3 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred)
  • Basic understanding of inventory systems and material tracking processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills (ERP/MRP systems experience preferred)
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace or highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management systems
  • Experience with barcode scanning systems and inventory software
  • Manufacturing and warehouse setting
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and specifications
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/MRP systems and perform cycle counts as required
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and handling of sensitive aerospace components
