About the role
- The team is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Stamford, CT team.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Help implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decision-making.
- Lead the expansion of specialized services that provide critical support to members during complex life events.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience with general accounting operations, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and audits.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and basic financial reporting principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to collaborate and support team goals.

Compensation
- The salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000, based on experience, skills, qualifications, and alignment with the scope of the role.
