About the role
- This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud-based solutions that enable data analytics, reporting, and application modernization.
- The ideal candidate has strong AWS experience and a proven background delivering cloud solutions in secure environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud and infrastructure issues.
Responsibilities
- Support cloud architecture design and implementation across AWS environments.
- Provision, configure, and optimize cloud infrastructure and services.
- Manage cloud services including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
- Partner with data engineers and developers to support data pipelines, analytics platforms, and applications.
- Support cloud migration and modernization efforts, including scalable and container-based deployments.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Support logging, monitoring, and security best practices within the cloud environment.
- Work within Agile teams to deliver solutions aligned with mission priorities.

Requirements
- Experience with SQL, Python, or AWS data services (e.g., Redshift).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, EKS, containers, or cloud-native architectures.
- Experience supporting ATO processes or compliance documentation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Skills
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Demonstrated experience designing and supporting cloud-based systems in production environments.
- Experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.).
- Experience with cloud networking, security, and monitoring best practices.
- Familiarity with tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or similar platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot across cloud, infrastructure, and application layers.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Desired Skills/Experience: AWS certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps, Developer, etc.).
- Experience supporting federal government IT systems or contracts.
- Exposure to data platforms, data warehousing, or BI tools (Strategy, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI).
Compensation
