About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Mid to Senior level Plumbing Designer or Engineer to join our team.
This role is vital in driving our project success across a range of sectors, including high-rise and mid-rise multifamily, affordable housing, commercial office, and retail TIs.

Support plumbing design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including design/bid/build, design assist, and design build.
Design plumbing systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads.
Coordination of water, gas, and sewer connections with civil engineers and architects Develop project specifications and perform site evaluations.
Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.
Establishing design standards and criteria for projects, preparing calculations, reports, and specifications Performing fire suppression system selection, preparing preliminary designs, and creating performance specifications.
Proactively enhance technical quality by staying updated with emerging technologies, evolving building codes, and advancements in the industry.
Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.
Manage projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adherence to quality control processes.
You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in electrical design to create effective and sustainable solutions, with a focus on integrating energy-efficient designs and ensuring compliance with local codes and policies.

With seven separate services in-house (MEP engineering, Lighting Design, Sustainability and Energy Consulting, and Commissioning), integrative design practices is required at Delta E.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar related field of study, or equivalent work experience.
Experience designing and coordinating heat pump water heating systems.
Experience designing and coordinating rainwater/greywater harvesting systems.
CPD or CPDT is preferred.
FE/EIT or PE license is preferred.
LEED AP is preferred.

90,000 - 125,000 USD per year (Seattle, US) *Note, for folks in the "Designer" role without FE/PE licensing would be the lower end of the pay range ($90-110k), while folks qualifying for an "Engineer" role would be towards the upper end of the pay range ($100-125k)
