About the role

  • What We Can Achieve Together: The NC Coastal Plain Prescribed Fire Crew Manager participates in preserve operations, restoration, maintenance, and management.
  • The Burn Crew Manager oversees a squad of 2-7 Burn Crew Members during wildland fire activities, under the direction of a Burn Boss or other command position.
  • Prescribed fire is the primary focus of this position, and we prioritize taking advantage of favorable weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to drive large pickup trucks with trailers

Requirements

  • Experience supervising staff or volunteers is required
  • May be required to obtain related licenses and certifications such as CPR and herbicide application.

Compensation

  • The starting pay rate for a candidate selected for this position is $26.52 per hour.
