About the role

  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of office spaces and common spaces across campus.
  • Work Days: Monday through Friday Shift Start/End Time: 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Hours Per Week: 20 Weeks Per Year: 52 Custodian - Part time Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt.
  • Washes windows, cleans showers, bathrooms, and public areas using wet/dry mop, vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths and cleaning solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be safety conscious, able to read, write and understand written and verbal instructions and work with a diverse group of staff and students.
  • Ability to work on weekends may be required.
  • During emergency situations will be required to work in the event of a personnel shortage.
  • The ability to foster and enhance a thriving, diverse, inclusive, and culturally vibrant community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, faculty and staff colleagues, and alumni.

  • Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.

Compensation

  • The rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
  • Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
