About the role

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours, including admissions, consultations, and managing medical emergencies.
  • Ensure timely communication with patients, families, and referring physicians to facilitate care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety measures, and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services, to deliver high-quality care.
  • Delivers personalized service using HM Service Standards

Requirements

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Licensure/Certification:
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Active Texas Medical License or eligibility for licensure in Texas.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage acute inpatient care efficiently.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a hospitalist or nocturnist role preferred.
