This field-based role is perfect for entry-level technicians or recent tech school grads who are looking for an opportunity to launch their career in the fleet maintenance industry.
In this role, you'll be responsible for performing DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, ensuring vehicles meet federal safety and compliance standards.
Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled DOT inspections.
Use inspection tools and equipment - including tread depth gauges, brake stroke gauges, and other diagnostic aids - to accurately assess vehicle condition against DOT standards.
Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard inspection times.
What Makes You a Great Fit Diesel, automotive, or heavy-duty vehicle technical training (technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience) preferred.
Familiarity with DOT inspection standards and out-of-service criteria, or willingness to learn.
