- This position is 100% on-site and may be filled as either a Principal Production Planner & Scheduler (level 3) or a Senior Principal Production Planner & Scheduler (level 4).
Responsibilities
- are expected to be performed at an advanced level, demonstrating expert knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to independently lead complex planning activities.
- Supports continuous improvement activities within the department or that is impactful to the department.
- Supports SAP ERP System Implementation.
- Performs work order variance analysis and review MRP execution and ensures accuracy of information, reconciles supply and demand, validates master scheduling requirement.
- Performs risk analysis, identifying and resolving critical path and MRP logic conflicts.
- Creates and release manufacturing work orders based on bill-of-materials and configuration. Close sub-assemblies work orders, ensures assemblies and integration are complete.
- Maintains inventory including shelf-life sensitive material and tooling for the program.
- Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments, according to manufacturing schedules or priorities, and compiles and maintains manual or computerized record.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a production control and manufacturing environment utilizing an MRP system
Nice to have
- Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
- Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Compensation
- $85,600.00 - $128,400.00
- $106,800.00 - $160,200.00
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
- Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
