About the role

  • The Senior Maintenance Technician provides advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, contractor oversight, and preventative maintenance leadership across multiple facilities.
  • This position replaces one of our existing maintenance roles and enhances our internal technical capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs (minor HVAC, minor electrical, minor plumbing, minor mechanical systems)
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and inspection logs
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario Fire Code, Building Code, and OHSA standards

  • This role is critical in ensuring safe, reliable, and well-maintained environments for the individuals we support across our residential and program sites.
  • Support urgent and after-hours maintenance response

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms.
  • Sitting, Standing, Walking may be required on a moderate to high frequency for each shift

  • Oversee contractors to ensure safety, quality, and cost control

  • Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring system issues
  • Coordinate and monitor contractor work
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response
  • 5+ years progressive maintenance experience
