Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights that directly impact strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
  • You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize business performance, implement strategic initiatives, and ensure that business decisions are backed by robust data analysis and reliable 'source of truth' reporting and metrics.
  • You will primarily support the Merchant Network team, who is responsible for signing, onboarding, retaining, and growing restaurant partners on Grubhub.
  • Develop and manage a connected ecosystem of dashboards and reports across platforms such as Tableau and Redash.
  • Ensure seamless integration and data consistency to support company-wide consumption.
  • Collaborate with leaders to address business challenges, providing insightful analysis to help them understand the financial implications of their strategies and decisions.
  • Design and implement financial models to support key strategic initiatives across various departments.
  • Establish, document, and maintain a "Source of Truth" for company-wide metrics.
  • Drive consistency in metric definitions, data sources, and reporting methodologies across the organization.

Requirements

  • Expertise in interpreting complex data sets and delivering clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of business strategy, financial modeling, and operational metrics.
  • Ability to frame analytical findings within a business context and influence decisions with data.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree or certifications in data science, business analytics, or related areas is a plus.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with data modeling, cleaning, and transformation best practices.
  • Exposure to Python for data analysis, modeling & automation, analysis, and data pipeline optimization is preferred.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and forecasting is a plus.
  • Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and analysis processes.

  • Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office.
  • New York: $128,000 per year
  • Illinois: $115,000 per year
