About the role

  • Fleet Data Center is seeking a dedicated Customer Engineering Director for a single named customer account.
  • Account Ownership Serve as the key technical point of contact for the assigned account, fully owning the relationship.
  • Become fluent in the customer's organizational chart, understanding both the technical goals and the internal dynamics of key decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in AI data center design and development.
  • Strong understanding of permitting, data center design, operations, power delivery for AI data centers, and both liquid and air-cooling strategies.
  • "Can-do" mindset with the ability to shape thinking across the customer, internal delivery, and commercial teams
  • Regular travel required (25-30%).

Nice to have

  • Dedicated experience within a data center developer or end user strongly preferred.
  • Acceptable backgrounds include working in a technical role at a data center developer or as a technical leader within an end customer.
  • Customer-facing experience is a strong plus.
  • An advanced degree is a plus but not required.
  • Core Skills & Competencies Leadership & Communication: Strong blend of high EQ and technical depth, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Influence & Execution: "Can-do" mindset with the ability to shape thinking across the customer, internal delivery, and commercial teams
  • Change Management: Demonstrated track record of structuring change management solutions for complex projects and making processes work effectively for the business.

Compensation

  • $180,000 - $225,00 Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus.
