Responsibilities
- Maintains environment and equipment and will locate and deliver appropriate equipment to Central Service and Maintenance departments.
- Employees may be directed to perform tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
- Recertification every two years is Required
- American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
Skills
- Requires the use of computers, EMR software
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
- Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Life Support Certified

- The Nursing Assistant (non-certified) is responsible for learning to perform basic care of patients under the general supervision of an RN in the acute hospital setting.
- The NA is also responsible for transporting and transferring patients within the medical complex in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transports and transfers patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment and utilizing safety precautions as indicated by the patient's health status.
- Works collaboratively with the health care team members to effectively communicate and document accurate information.
- Demonstrates role accountability by adhering to Tidelands Health mission statement, policies and confidentiality standards.
- Education Qualifications
- Two (2) years previous healthcare experience Preferred
