Responsibilities

  • Maintains environment and equipment and will locate and deliver appropriate equipment to Central Service and Maintenance departments.
  • Employees may be directed to perform tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Recertification every two years is Required
  • American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.

  • Requires the use of computers, EMR software
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
  • Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic Life Support Certified

  • The Nursing Assistant (non-certified) is responsible for learning to perform basic care of patients under the general supervision of an RN in the acute hospital setting.
  • The NA is also responsible for transporting and transferring patients within the medical complex in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Transports and transfers patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment and utilizing safety precautions as indicated by the patient's health status.
  • Works collaboratively with the health care team members to effectively communicate and document accurate information.
  • Demonstrates role accountability by adhering to Tidelands Health mission statement, policies and confidentiality standards.
  • Education Qualifications
  • Two (2) years previous healthcare experience Preferred
