About the role
- Responsible for triage of all patients being seen by treatment room RNs, triage and/or shot clinic.
- TYPE OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Direct supervision by Treatment Room RN.
- Obtain vital signs, height and weight for clinic patients and places patient in treatment room.
Responsibilities
- Performs venipuncture, accesses mediports, and starts IVs as ordered.
- Cleans and maintains treatment rooms with the appropriate level of supplies and maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Performs treatment room functions such as rounding on patients, assisting the nurses, and documenting appropriately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent and certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited school.
