About the role
- The Director of Investment Accounting is responsible for leading the investment accounting, reporting (external, regulatory & client), and analysis of Enstar's investment portfolio, as well as providing technical expertise related to investment transactions.
Responsibilities
- This role will focus on the integration of M&A transactions and recommend and drive process improvements.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 10+ years of investment accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of complex investment products and related accounting standards.
- Prior leadership and team management experience
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
- Experience with Clearwater and Canoe preferred
- Advanced Excel/Alteryx skills preferred
Skills
- Manage relationships with internal partners and external auditors
- Work closely with the VP of Investment Accounting to ensure depth of knowledge for all critical processes
- Review VIE analysis and consolidation conclusions
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting guidance (e.g., US GAAP, Statutory Accounting Principles, or other frameworks as applicable)
- Review financial statements, footnotes, and management reporting
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of investment-related disclosures for regulatory filings
- Maintain and enhance internal controls
- Oversee pre and post-close portfolio analytics, report on investment-related KPIs
Compensation
- One paid annual volunteer day.
- The target base salary pay range for this role is $108,000-$135,000*
- Target full-time equivalent base salary range is based on relevant market data.
- This salary range is not inclusive of applicable discretionary incentives.
