About the role

  • Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America and is a producer of quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise and sauces.
  • Stratas Foods was formed in October 2008 as a 50/50 joint venture between ACH Food Companies (ACH) and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).
  • Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Hillside, NJ: Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for control systems and instrumentation.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of control system upgrades and modifications.
  • Manage small capital projects related to automation or control system enhancements.
  • Maintain documentation for inspections, audits, calibrations, and changes to control systems.
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to support plant performance.
  • Act as the liaison with vendors and contractors for technical support and system upgrades.

Nice to have

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
  • ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or similar credential.
  • Combination of office and plant/field environments.
  • May require occasional climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), or work in confined spaces.
  • Availability for emergency call-ins and on-call rotation.
  • Certifications (Preferred):

Skills

  • Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA.
  • Corporate offices are located in Memphis, TN.
  • This includes supervising maintenance, contractors and IC techs.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and supporting operational efficiency through reliable control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, ( List additional ) and instrumentation calibration.
  • Familiar with ISA standards, NEC codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in reading P&IDs, loop drawings, and control logic.
  • Experience with control system platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, or Emerson.
