Responsibilities

  • The applicant will be responsible for teaching undergraduate coursework and associated instructional components in Physics. Courses support majors in Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, and other STEM fields at Bowie State University.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Physics or related discipline with significant graduate-level physics coursework may be considered based on experience.

Nice to have

  • College-level teaching experience in Physics (lecture and/or laboratory).
  • Please describe the extent and level of teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching interdisciplinary physics courses, such as Physics for Bioinformatics, is desirable.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including traditional and non-traditional students.
  • Familiarity with the Blackboard (Bb) LMS is preferred.
  • Experience with course development, assessment, instructional planning, and quality assurance processes is beneficial.
