About the role

  • This position will also provide hands-on training for new and experienced employees.
  • Troubleshoot causes of mechanical and electrical errors.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain operating condition machinery or equipment
  • Maintain standard processes and procedures in order to provide consistency across personnel and shifts
  • Collaborate with engineers, shift leaders, and section leaders to create more efficient processes
  • Lead tours for new employees and visiting vendors
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
  • Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in production/plant environment.
  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to do the following repeatedly.
  • High School Diploma/General Educational Development or higher degree required.
  • Exposure to dry-room environments with gowning and PPE requirement.
  • Technical mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Safety glasses.
  • Steel-toed shoes.
  • Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stoop, twist, bend.
  • Reach overhead.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree preferred or relevant work experience.
  • Vocational certification (i.e., journeyperson) *preferred but not required.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience *preferred but not required.
