About the role
- The Dietitian role has a clinical role maintaining a minimum of 30 minutes per resident per month at our long term care home in Windsor for a total of 70 hours a month.
Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate and modify nutritional care plans for all residents; liaise with Residents, family members and/or substitute decision makers and the interdisciplinary team.
- Review and approve seasonal menus; develop individualized menus for residents, as needed.
- Carry Own Professional Liability Insurance
- Ability to maintain high professional and ethical standards
Requirements
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario required
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Screen is required

- Provide nutrition counselling and education to residents and family members and/or substitute decision makers, as needed, in line with supporting residents' nutrition care.
- Routine communication with administration, physicians, the allied health team, food services and Nutrition Manager.
- Provide education and training to dietary and nursing staff, as needed.
- Computer Literacy - knowledge of computerized electronic medical records (EMR) programs is an asset
