About the role
- ITnova is seeking a skilled NDI Technician II (N on-Destructive Inspection) to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. This position is responsible for performing nondestructive inspections (NDI/NDT) of aircraft structures, components, and related systems to identify discrepancies and support safe,
- reliable aircraft operations. The ideal candidate has experience with approved NDI inspection methods, a strong understanding of technical publications and quality assurance requirements, and the ability to accurately interpret and document inspection results. Responsibilities
- Performs nondestructive inspection (NDI/NDT) of aircraft structures, components, and related items using approved methods and procedures.
- Interprets inspection results and documents findings in accordance with Quality Assurance requirements and applicable technical publications.
- Supports safe-for-flight decisions and maintenance actions by identifying, documenting, and communicating structural discrepancies or inspection results.
- Maintains NDI equipment and ensures calibration, control, and readiness of assigned inspection tools and equipment.
Requirements
- NDI Level II certification in applicable methods is required.
- Must have knowledge of approved NDI inspection methods, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical data, drawings, and inspection criteria.
- Must be U.S. citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
- Able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required.
- Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
- Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required.
- Must be able to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, as required.
Nice to have
- Minimum of 3 years aviation experience is preferred
- rotary-wing experience is preferred.
- Secret clearance is preferred based on assignment.
