About the role

  • You'll always be thinking past the edges of your pillar, since your decisions need to stay coherent with the rest of the product.
  • Remote: Candidates must permanently and currently reside in the United States.
  • Employees are encouraged to come hang out at headquarters for up to 10 days per calendar year on CompanyCam's dime.

Responsibilities

  • Lead foundational product design across the core product, shaping workflows, information architecture, and experience coherence as the product evolves.
  • Design high-quality, intuitive experiences that simplify complexity while maintaining consistency across an evolving product ecosystem, including new agentic and AI-driven surfaces.
  • Use design to shape product priorities, scope, and strategic decisions, extending influence far beyond execution.
  • Mentor designers through clear feedback, strong craft and design rationale, and visible practice that sharpens decision-making, strengthens judgment, and improves both team process and product outcomes.
  • Lead with empathy and clarity, helping teams align around shared goals and a strong customer perspective.

  • I n this role, you'll drive impact by:
  • Raising the quality, judgment, and consistency of the broader design team through mentorship, leadership, and visible excellence in your own work.
  • Influencing product strategy and organizational decision-making by connecting design execution to broader business, customer, and operational outcomes.
  • 7+ years of product design experience, including time operating at a senior or lead level.

Requirements

  • Employees are not required to work in the office or relocate to Lincoln, Nebraska, for this opportunity.

  • Experience designing for trades work or similar field environment personas
  • Experience mentoring, hiring, or formally leading other designers.
