Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services using C#/.NET.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and teammates to understand requirements and deliver well-scoped technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, giving and incorporating constructive feedback to maintain code quality.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests (unit and integration) to ensure software reliability and stability.
  • Participate in technical design discussions for new features, contributing implementation-level insights.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage your own tasks and priorities with guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services on the Waystar Claims platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3-5 years of professional software development experience with a track record of delivering production-quality software.
  • Proficiency in C# and.NET (both.NET 8 and.NET Framework)
  • Experience with SQL Server - writing queries, stored procedures, and understanding basic schema design.
  • Experience working within microservices and distributed systems that use asynchronous, message-based architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ).
  • Working knowledge of software development best practices including Agile methodologies, CI/CD (Azure DevOps Pipelines), and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control and GitHub pull request workflows.

Nice to have

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Helm chart-based Kubernetes deployments.
  • Experience with Redis for distributed caching.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse technologies.
  • Familiarity with structured logging and observability tools such as Splunk.
