About the role

- Triages inquiries as appropriate and escalates concerns when needed. - Assists in the administration and implementation of all HR Department programs.
Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, and reviews Technical Guides, Standard Operating Procedures, and How-To Guides for assigned tasks. Provides direct input into the development and recommendation of process-related improvements.
- Connects employees, managers, and HR staff to appropriate HR tools and resources, and provides Workday transaction process support to assigned city departments.
- Works collaboratively with all HR teams and key cross-functional groups to share knowledge of emerging issues and proactively deliver service to improve the employee experience.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, recruitment and selection, and employment law.
- Provides training, guidance, support, and thought partnership to HR team members in areas of subject matter expertise.
- Under general direction, provides guidance and support to employees, managers, applicants and Human Resources (HR) teams across a broad range of HR matters.
- Assists with HR programs and is responsible for system transactions; maintains, inputs, and reviews confidential employee or applicant information for accuracy in accordance with established laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
- This role also supports the HR team on various projects.

- Skill in the use of computers, related software applications, and proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS.
- Primarily sedentary physical work requiring the ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds
Nice to have
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English and a second language as listed in Boulder's Language Access Plan in a professional capacity for communication objectives.
- Knowledge and experience working in a union environment.
- Knowledge and experience working within an HRIS, preferably Workday.
- Skill in data management and processing documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
- Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
- Associates degree

Compensation
- Full Pay Range
- 69,118.40 - 100,297.60
- Reviews and processes system and employee or applicant transactions in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), such as position management, job requisitions, offer letters, delegations, compensation changes, onboarding setups, and organizational assignment changes.
- Collaborates with other Generalists (I, II, or III) to effectively handle complex transactions or employee matters, and additionally, coordinates with Benefits, Leaves, Compensation, Risk, and Payroll teams on questions related to employee data to ensure accurate employee pay and records.
