Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as outlined in the CMMS system, and document work completed.
  • Support minor equipment installations and adjustments.
  • Provide support or guidance to Level I mechanics when needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and work from elevated platforms for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces and heights as needed.
  • May be required to use a worker cage or lift equipment to access high, elevated areas.
  • Use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.) required.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
  • Must be able to work in a high-demand, fast-paced production environment with strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Availability: Candidates must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting, bearing replacement, and gear/motor repair.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in hot, cold, or wet environments.

Nice to have

  • Technical or trade school certification.
  • Basic understanding of PLC-driven equipment and automation.
  • Welding or fabrication experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food or beverage preferred).

Compensation

  • $35 - $45 USD

  • The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II is a mid-level technician responsible for independently performing mechanical maintenance and repair tasks on production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • This role focuses on reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting plant operations through proactive maintenance work.
