About the role
- Security teams don't just need an AI agent that works in theory.
- They need software that fits how they actually operate, and someone has to sit close enough to customers to know the difference.
- You'll join our core team as a product-minded engineer, owning work across the stack: backend systems day to day, and frontend when the product needs it.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain core backend systems, including APIs, data pipelines, and workflow engines that power 7AI's agentic security platform.
- Contribute product and design judgment, not just implementation, helping shape what gets built and how it works.
- Choose and implement the right technologies and architectures, and ship fast.
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, with strong fundamentals in system design, APIs, and data modeling.
Requirements
- Experience in, or strong curiosity about, the security domain, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, MDR, or incident response workflows.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Nice to have
- Experience with workflow automation, SOAR platforms, or security orchestration.
- Familiarity with Temporal or similar workflow engines.
- Background in a product-facing or customer-facing engineering role.
