About the role

  • We currently have teams in Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Pakistan, Peru, and the Philippines.
  • These in-country teams are focused on implementing Khan Academy in government schools.
  • As Khan Academy expands its international presence, data will be a cornerstone of successful implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to special projects that enhance support models, deepen partner enablement, and advance global scalability.
  • Own the Streamlit-based KPI reporting platform (requirements, maintenance); define and prioritize technical requirements for country-specific secure data enclaves in partnership with implementation teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience across data strategy, analytics, and business intelligence, - ideally within an edtech, nonprofit, or international context.
  • Expertise in SQL, python, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, product teams, and educators.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action

  • Familiarity with education data systems and a strong grasp of common education metrics (e.g., usage, dosage, assessment outcomes).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.

Compensation

  • The compensation band for this role is $165,446 - $180,499 USD annually for candidates based in the United States and $223,569 - $244,000 CAD annually for candidates based in Canada.
  • The pay range for this position is a general guideline only.
