About the role
- The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC), located in the heart of New York City, seeks a LVT Director of OR.

- The Director is responsible for process improvement activities and reporting of key performance indicators.
Responsibilities
- Develops action plans and reports outcomes to the Senior LVT Director of Perioperative Services
- Mentor and guide surgery LVT Managers, Team Leaders, and Lead Technicians to ensure excellence in hospitals' functionality
- Performs responsibilities in accordance with hospital goals, objectives, policies and procedures
- Partner with the hospital leadership team to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, staff development and career ladders ensure meeting of national standards and state regulatory requirements and give input to strategic decisions related to clinical nursing staff development.
- Possibility of housing in an AMC apartment building or assistance to find housing
- A multidisciplinary team of 140+ veterinarians across 20+ specialties: With over 20 specialties and services under one roof, our departments frequently work together to deliver the highest quality of patient care in the veterinary field.
Requirements
- 5 years supervisory/management experience required
- 3-5 years Veterinary Surgical Nursing Experience
Nice to have
- Current NYS Veterinary Technician Licensure required, VTS preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Compensation
- $95,000 - $115,000 USD
