About the role

  • The Project Manager will oversee the execution and management of construction projects, ensuring that budgets are managed, safety standards are met, and all project activities are efficiently executed.
  • Additional certifications such as PMP or BCIN is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Budget Control: Monitor and manage project budgets with accurate cost reporting and accountability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams. Conduct team meetings and maintain collaboration.
  • Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols to maintain compliance and a safe work environment.
  • Client Communication: Build and maintain strong client relationships with timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Conduct team meetings and maintain collaboration.
  • This is a new headcount added to support our growing business needs.
  • Our organization may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence (AI) or algorithm-assisted systems, to support the initial review of applications.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets with accurate cost reporting and accountability.

Requirements

  • Possess 5-7 years of experience managing construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing within the commercial sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices.
  • Experience in construction management with proficiency in Procore and MS Project, and ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Secure required permits and ensure alignment with building codes and regulations.

  • Post-secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications such as PMP or BCIN is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of construction financials and cost management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
  • Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
