About the role

World Relief seeks a Youth Fellow to serve refugee and immigrant students.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until 6/30/27 and contingent upon funding extension.
This is a part-time position for 20 hours per week.

Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.
A Youth Fellow will work closely with the Refugee and Immigrant Youth Services team to support programming initiatives like after school tutoring, high school lunch groups, and patiently assisting families with case management needs.
The Youth Fellow will bring their perspective and experience to support decision-making and youth programming development.

Demonstrated understanding of the refugee or immigrant experience, through lived experience or professional engagement preferred.
Fluent in a language spoken by World Relief clients (example: Arabic, Dari, Kinyarwanda, Pashto, Rohingya, Spanish, Swahili, Tigrinya, Vietnamese, and more)
Experience as a student in RIYS programming and/or Durham Public Schools
Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards
