About the role

The Steamboat Childcare Center (SCCC) is hiring Early Childhood Substitute teachers.
Early Childhood Subs will substitute for Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers when they are on vacation, sick, or in case of unplanned absences throughout the year.
Housing is not available through this position.

Support classroom teachers and assistant teachers
Perform daily child care duties as assigned including feeding, diapers/potty, and naps
Maintain confidentiality

Flexibility to care for children of all ages birth-5 years
Knowledge of child development and willingness to stay up to date with current best practices
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Must be able to lift, carry, and position children up to 40 pounds
Must be able to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, talking, and sitting on the floor
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.

SCCC subs are expected to commit to 2 full days or 3 half-days per week plus a monthly staff meeting.
AA or BS - ECE preferred
