About the role

  • Ensure crew always operates within Harper's safety and quality standards.
  • Essential Functions: Learn what it means to be the main contact for the project at the jobsite.
  • Learn how to oversee the project to assist in proper project decisions.

Responsibilities

  • To build up our communities, our clients, and each other by building trust in everything we do.
  • Coordinate with Safety Manager to develop a project-site specific SOAR Orientation Document.
  • SOAR Implementation - if allowing other Harper staff to conduct orientations ensure proper message and execution of the document.
  • Perform weekly Toolbox Talks with all active trades.
  • Assist the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to create Schedules as well as determine sequencing of work.
  • Create Inspections.
  • Create and track an observation.
  • Create and maintain the punchlist.
  • Create an RFI for review by Superintendent and seek RFI information where applicable.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ability to communicate with Owner and Architect/Engineer relating to field issues.

Nice to have

  • 4-year college degree in related field with jobsite experience as an intern during school with an established GC.
  • OSHA 30 certified, preferred.
  • Proven track record of a strong safety culture on the jobsite - is a leader in safety.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Plans and Specs.

Skills

  • Coordinate a 3d design for conflicts.
  • Coordinate a 3d design layout in the field.
  • Utilize BIM Glue and Navisworks software when appropriate to assist in the BIM process on a project.
  • Competencies:
  • Demonstrate flexibility and accept change often.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Supervise multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Able to solve complex issues.
  • A "Can Do" attitude.
  • Read and understand people and their intentions.
  • Some understanding of construction means and methods for all scopes of work.

  • Plan and assign work; track and account for labor hours and productivity; supervise activities of a construction crew(s) and/or Trade Partners.
