About the role
- This specialist will focus on Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), providing advanced portfolio construction guidance, customized analytics, and market insights tailored to the unique needs of the RIA community.
- The role also involves elevating ICG's presence as a trusted thought leader, serving as a subject matter expert across Hartford Funds' product suite, the competitive landscape, and evolving capital market and asset allocation trends.
Responsibilities
- Deliver highly customized investment analyses to RIA clients and prospects, including performance evaluation, holdings-based diagnostics, attribution analysis, and portfolio optimization strategies.
- Partner with advisors to design and refine model portfolios, incorporating best practices in asset allocation, manager selection, and risk management.
- Lead investment discussions and reviews with RIAs and key intermediaries, supporting business development efforts and helping drive net asset flows within the territory.
- Develop deep expertise in the competitive landscape to effectively position Hartford Funds as either a replacement or complement within client portfolios.
- Partner with sales, marketing, product, and sub-advisors to deliver cohesive messaging, actionable insights, and innovative client solutions.
Requirements
- Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
Nice to have
- Represent ICG as a subject matter expert through presentations, content development, and client-facing insights on markets, portfolio strategy, and industry trends.
- 5+ years of experience in asset management, wealth management, or institutional consulting, with a strong preference for RIA channel exposure.
- CFA designation or progress toward completion strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and trends impacting RIAs and the broader advisory ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex investment data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience with tools such as FactSet, YCharts, Morningstar Direct, and Salesforce preferred.
- Exceptional presentation and storytelling abilities, with experience engaging sophisticated advisor audiences.
- Strong team orientation with the ability to influence across functions and contribute to a high-performance culture.
Compensation
- The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market.
- Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.
- The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees.
- Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
- The annualized base pay range for this role is:
- $120,000 - $150,000
