Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical instruction Foster and maintain academic-practice partnerships with clinical partners to ensure student access to expertise and application of practice through clinicians and faculty.
  • Partner with the Nursing Lab Manager to plan skills and nursing lab experiences that utilize equipment to its fullest ability and prepare students for practice.
  • Manage Clinical Coordinator(s) to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Faculty support Lead workshops to develop faculty teaching skills.
  • Develop relationships with new faculty, providing resources and guidance for their success.
  • Student support delivery for core nursing students Address student concerns, complaints, and disciplinary issues in accordance with College policies and procedures.
  • The scholarship of teaching Lead the delivery of assigned curriculum, set strategic goals, and ensure alignment with College-wide objectives, utilizing data and statistics related to program outcomes to engage in improvement strategies.
  • Deliver instruction for assigned workload based on campus size and needs.
  • Regularly interact with all students and promote a student-centered approach, fostering an environment that supports the personal and professional growth of students.
  • The scholarship of practice Build a team of highly qualified faculty members, adjunct and/or full-time, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment with regular professional development opportunities; evaluate the team's outcomes and continuously improve team effectiveness.

Requirements

  • As a leading nurse educator, Arizona College of Nursing offers students the opportunity to earn a bachelor's in nursing in 3 years or less with qualified transfer credits.
  • Through the execution of a targeted growth strategy, the college plans to meet the growing demand for nurses by launching campuses in markets where bachelor's prepared nurses are needed.

Nice to have

  • Evidence of progressive leadership experience, including supervisory experience and prior experience with instruction, curriculum, academic programs, and the development and growth of academic initiatives.
  • Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty.

Compensation

  • $100k-$130k
