About the role

  • Purpose The plant superintendent is responsible for activities of workers in all phases of a plant operation.
  • Coordinate production activities with maintenance and quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the paintline
  • Work with human resources to maintain corporate policies and manage overall headcount according to the budget and sales.
  • Consult with engineering relative to modifications of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products, or when developing new lines for a new product.
  • Provide support to all operations through the application of lean manufacturing / Kaizen principles.
  • Manages special projects as requested by the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing.

  • Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing management, a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience. 6 plus years of experience, or equivalent. Experience in automotive manufacturing.
