About the role
- The ideal candidate combines strong software-engineering fundamentals with sound judgment around reliability, security boundaries, failure modes, and operational trade-offs.
- You will also help integrate CoreWeave security services with customers' on-premises and cloud environments, including the identity, key-management, and security products they already use.
- You will have meaningful ownership of technical direction and delivery while helping raise the engineering bar across the team.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable backend services using REST and/or gRPC APIs.
- Own services through their full lifecycle: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, on-call support, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, incident response, and post-incident improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, Security Engineering, Infrastructure, and partner teams to deliver secure and usable platform capabilities.
- Strong professional experience building and operating production backend services and improving their reliability, performance, and maintainability..

Requirements
- Experience with relational or distributed data stores, asynchronous processing, and service integration patterns.
Nice to have
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful but not required:
- Encryption, key management systems, cloud key management services, HSMs, or KMIP.
- OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, workload identity, federation, or related identity protocols.
- SCIM, enterprise identity integrations, SSO, or lifecycle management.
- SRE and reliability practices, including incident response, error budgets, capacity planning, and operational readiness.
- Service observability using metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, and production diagnostics.
- Load testing, performance analysis, capacity modeling, and scaling strategy.
- Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, or platform engineering.

Compensation
- The base salary range for this role is $182,000 to $242,000.
