About the role
- MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Will promote a safe working environment.
- Understand and adhere to all Silgan Safety Policies and Procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers.
- Ensuring machines are functioning safely in accordance with GMP and housekeeping standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks.
- Perform master cleaning tasks when necessary.
- Perform minor repairs to the machines during their shift.
- To perform this job successfully, the employee must possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and communicate orally.
- Must be able to lift 35lb. bags of resin / concentrate.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stand on feet for entirety of the shift.
- Associates will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties requested by their supervisor in compliance with Federal and State Laws.

Nice to have
- High school diploma
- 6 months as a machine operator.
- Experience as a blow molding operator.
- 1 year Experience in Manufacturing.
- Manufacturing experience, extrusion molding is a plus.
- Preferred: High school diploma
Skills
- Required:
- Ability to read, write and communicate orally. Good attention to detail.
- Ability to enter machinery safely and unhindered by physical restriction.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Visual Inspections on product.
- Willingness to work 12 hours on either day or night shifts, weekends, and overtime.
- Ability to lift 35 Lbs.
- Have good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to operate PITs (Powered Industrial Trucks)
- Preferred: Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
