About the role

  • This role focuses on assisting in equipment start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing service for commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
  • The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a strong technical aptitude, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a genuine desire to learn from experienced professionals.
  • This position requires between five and fifteen percent travel, primarily within the greater Vancouver, BC area.

Responsibilities

  • Document all service and maintenance work performed, including test results, parts used, and system adjustments.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, codes, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HVAC technicians, engineers, and customer service representatives, to ensure seamless delivery of HVAC solutions to clients

Requirements

  • Ability to work in diverse environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoor conditions).

Nice to have

  • Assist in equipment start-up and commissioning of newly installed HVAC systems, including verifying proper operation and settings.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize system life and efficiency.
  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment issues such as electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, or airflow imbalances.
  • Verify that control systems and safety devices are functioning correctly.
  • Work with project managers and installation teams to resolve post-installation issues quickly and effectively.
  • Participate in training to stay current with HVAC technologies, diagnostic tools, and energy efficiency practices.
  • installation experience is a plus.
  • Gas Ticket or REF Ticket preferred

Compensation

  • For this FT role, the anticipated hourly range is $30 - $45 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience.
