About the role

  • The Care Team, in partnership with Traditions Health is seeking a new Hospice Physician to join our growing Hospice Team in Cuyahoga Falls!
  • include promoting and maintaining the standards of practice consistent with quality hospice care.
  • Responsible for the palliation and management of the patient's terminal illness and conditions related to the terminal illness in conjunction with the patient's attending physician.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college/university with a doctorate degree in medicine or doctor of osteopathy.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited college/university with a doctorate degree in medicine or doctor of osteopathy.

Skills

  • Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto insurance.
  • Physical and Mental Effort:
  • Prolonged sitting is required.
  • Requires the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Reviews patient eligibility for services, including admission and re-certification
  • Provides medical direction and education to the clinical staff, acts as a role model and provides consultation for attending physicians
  • Assists with QAPI process as appropriate, assists with continuing education programs
  • Provides consultation for palliative and end-of-life care issues, completed Face to Face assessments as necessary
  • Supports the Agency's goals and vision
  • Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.

Compensation

  • $200-$250/hour
  • Schedule: Approximately 10 hours weekly.
  • Job Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, staff members, the Governing Body, Interdisciplinary Team and other physicians.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto insurance.
  • Prolonged sitting is required. Requires the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs.
