About the role
- The Care Team, in partnership with Traditions Health is seeking a new Hospice Physician to join our growing Hospice Team in Cuyahoga Falls!
- include promoting and maintaining the standards of practice consistent with quality hospice care.
- Responsible for the palliation and management of the patient's terminal illness and conditions related to the terminal illness in conjunction with the patient's attending physician.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college/university with a doctorate degree in medicine or doctor of osteopathy.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college/university with a doctorate degree in medicine or doctor of osteopathy.
Skills
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto insurance.
- Physical and Mental Effort:
- Prolonged sitting is required.
- Requires the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
- Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs.
- Essential Functions:
- Reviews patient eligibility for services, including admission and re-certification
- Provides medical direction and education to the clinical staff, acts as a role model and provides consultation for attending physicians
- Assists with QAPI process as appropriate, assists with continuing education programs
- Provides consultation for palliative and end-of-life care issues, completed Face to Face assessments as necessary
- Supports the Agency's goals and vision
- Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.
Compensation
- $200-$250/hour
- Schedule: Approximately 10 hours weekly.
- Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge and Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, staff members, the Governing Body, Interdisciplinary Team and other physicians.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto insurance.
- Prolonged sitting is required. Requires the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs.
