Responsibilities

  • The team also delivers complex risk and hedging solutions to clients.
  • The EIT team manages a market leading platform from our offices in Toronto, New York, Houston, Calgary, London and Bogota.
  • With guidance from Managing Directors, Executive Directors and Directors, you will complete assignments that impact the firm's bottom line through transaction and financing execution, client relationship support, industry and company research, and contributing to the overall communication flow across our global offices.
  • Research and Analysis - Conduct industry research and quantitative analysis to create and direct complex financial analysis and models while extracting the "big picture" implications of such analysis to assist in the identification and/or analysis of investment banking business opportunities.
  • Financial Modeling - Develop and audit sophisticated financial models.
  • Relationship Building - Collaborate with our global teams and colleagues to execute on transactions across our global offices. Grow your internal and external networks with clients and relevant team members and product specialists.

Requirements

  • You have an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics.
  • You can demonstrate relevant industry experience.
  • Experience must have included meaningful financial modeling and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of the power, utilities and/or infrastructure sectors as well as direct investment banking experience are assets.
  • You are success-oriented.
  • Must be capable of assuming high levels of responsibility within short time frames.
  • You have relevant financial skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability including demonstrated knowledge of valuation techniques and practices, including cash flow and returns analyses.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles relating to financial statement preparation and business combinations.
  • You have effective communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Completion of a CA or CFA, is preferred and an MBA or Masters in Finance is an asset.

Compensation

  • The expected annualized base salary for this role is $135,000.
  • The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs.
  • Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.
  • In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

  • Proposal - Play a key role in the preparation of client proposals, "pitchbooks" and client coverage materials.
  • A minimum of 3 to 4 years of previous experience in one or more of investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, project financing, tax equity, or investment review.
