About the role
- Enters Computerized Laboratory Order Entry in Softlab as ordered by the provider.
- Releases Epic orders and Softlab orders.
- Transcribes orders as needed into Epic system from paper forms.
Responsibilities
- Supports completion of outpatient testing by performing venipuncture, electrocardiogram (EKG), mid-turbinate swabs, and colleting additional laboratory testing as ordered by the provider.
- Assists with rooming patients for appointments with physician and anesthesia team as needed and performs vital signs.
- Performs correct test as ordered by the provider.
- Maintains asepsis and disposes of sharps properly.
