About the role
- Performs a variety of work connected with the operations, inspections, and maintenance of Combined Cycle Generation sites.
- Performs varied mechanical, basic electrical and basic control and instrument maintenance activities and other duties necessary to maintain steam & electric generation facilities.
Responsibilities
- Performs Combined Cycle operations, inspections, and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner adhering to all company guidelines to ensure compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations.
- Performs and participates in job safety briefings, safety reviews and safety observations.
- Maintains an accurate operating log of equipment and performs preventive maintenance to sustain equipment availability and reliability.
- Performs inspections and assists with maintenance of the site, Combined Cycle and related equipment utilizing Maximo and predictive and preventive maintenance processes and procedures.
- Self performs when qualified.
- Performs and documents routine inspections of the site, Combined Cycle and related equipment, and collects and retains necessary data to support regulatory permit requirements and reporting.
- Maintains performance monitoring and control equipment. Monitors gas and steam turbine performance. Keeps testing records as assigned.
- Participates in the performance of warehouse activities, ordering supplies as needed, and supports inventory activities.
- Assists with monitoring, calibrating and performance of minor repairs of recording and indicating instrumentation including emissions control & monitoring systems. Self performs when qualified.
- Performs and participates in regular inspections, overhauls and maintenance of related plant equipment.
Requirements
- Travel time from your primary residence to your assigned headquarters must be 60 minutes or less under normal driving conditions.
- Operation in the control room and Combined Cycle Distributed Control Systems (DCS) under direct supervision or when qualified or proficiency demonstrated.
- Performs Contractor safety orientations and job safety briefings with contractors performing work as required.
