About the role
- Responsible for the management of all inbound/outbound shipments and yard control at the Distribution Center.
- Will coordinate with Freight Forwarders and 3PL logistics providers to ensure proper workflow, shipment prioritization and order volume availability.
- Role is supported by a Load/Unload Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Manages and measures the effectiveness of the Freight Forwarder and 3PL logistics provider through KPI reporting.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have experience with YMS, Freight Forwarders, OTR, and intermodal.
- You bring a deep ability to understand and relate to people and navigate through tough situations to harness and multiply collective performance
- You have a deep natural curiosity, desire to experiment and ability to effectively deal with the heat of change.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and use of Yard Management Systems.
- SAP knowledge is preferred.
- Audit and process Ocean & domestic trucking Shipment invoices.
- PERSONAL QUALITIES & Experience
- 100% Responsibility mindset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- 5 years' experience in the transportation and distribution fields.
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Detail orientated with ability to multi-task
