Responsibilities

  • Cost Tracking & Analysis - Maintain detailed cost control systems for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and production rates across multiple active site development projects.
  • Forecasting & Budget Management - Develop and update monthly cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance reports
  • Change Management - Evaluate scope changes, quantify cost impacts, and support preparation of change orders and claims documentation.
  • Bid Support & Estimate Validation - Collaborate with estimating teams to validate quantities, unit rates, and assumptions for new pursuits and project expansions.
  • Systems & Data Integrity - Maintain accurate cost coding, cost breakdown structures, and project financial data within company systems.
  • Forecasting & Budget Management - Develop and update monthly cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance reports; identify trends and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-7 years of cost engineering, project controls, or financial analysis experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, EPC, or large‑scale construction.
  • Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, grading, and site development cost drivers.
  • Proficiency with cost control software, production tracking tools, and Excel‑based modeling.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, schedules, and quantity takeoffs.
  • Experience with earned value, forecasting, and cost reporting methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with field teams.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, analytical mindset.
