About the role
- Freight Handler Distribution Center Address: 1500 N.
- All Gordon Food Service locations are tobacco-free.
- Gordon Food Service is a drug-free workplace and conducts pre-employment drug tests.
Responsibilities
- As a freight handler, you'll support our team by breaking down pallets of inbound freight and sorting the product by item code onto new pallets so it can be put into inventory by our replenishment team.
- To demonstrate our commitment to our partnership, we will require any candidate who works for a Gordon Food Service customer to provide a letter of support from their management if they are selected for the interview process.
Requirements
- There's no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
- We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is required while you're here.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
