About the role

  • The EHS Manager is a highly valued role in providing day-to-day EHS support to the facility locations and operating teams within the designated region.
  • This includes coaching, teaching, and training field personnel on safe operating behaviors as well as the design, development, and implementation of safety and risk control programs.
  • The EHS Manager functions as a subject matter expert and consultant to help internal clients build sustainable loss improvement processes within the operating organizations that they will own and operate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily and continuous safety support to the Midwest United States Markets (current states include OH, IN, IL, and MI) with expansion planned through other surrounding states
  • Conduct compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support AWP Safety EHS Management
  • Maintain, audit, and update as needed AWP Safety- SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day-to-day training
  • Participate in and support detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
  • Visit and walk the job sites on a regular basis to establish an EHS presence and provide support
  • Perform field safety observations during each visit

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of work experience in the EHS field
  • Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field with 3 years of EHS related experience or HS Diploma with 5 years of EHS experience
  • Valid drivers' license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards

Nice to have

  • EHS certification a plus

Compensation

  • $90,000 - $110,000 Base + 10% AIP Bonus Potential + Company Vehicle and Gas Card
  • The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
  • A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
